Instructions

Send videos and pictures: 

To get the most out of the lesson with the best audio quality, upload unlisted videos of the student playing their lesson assignments to YouTube and e-mail the links to the teacher prior to the lesson time. Include in the e-mail a picture of the past week's assignment sheet and pictures of any music the teacher doesn't have.  

The camera angle for uploaded videos (and the video call if doing a Zoom lesson) should show a side angle of the student's hands (the same view the teacher would have for lessons) and if using pedal, then the feet as well.

Zoom Set-up

Use a device with a decent microphone. Under "audio settings," select "original sound for musicians" (if there are checkboxes under this option, make sure they are all deselected). Depending on the device, audio settings might be near the microphone symbol or under "more."

The meeting automatically expires after 40 min. If the lesson time is longer than 40min., then the student will immediately rejoin the teacher's meeting room after the first meeting ends.
